Over Suspension In Demolition 

ImageAnglican women in Abuja have commended the FCT Minister, Dr. Aliyu Umar Modibbo for suspending the demolition of ho~ses in Abuja.The commendation was contained in a communique issued at the end of the 2007 Women Conference of the diocese of Abuja. Signed by the President of Mothers' Union. Mrs Susan Akinola, it urged government to "put in place a safe guard' before implementing policies, and appealed to the Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) to provide adequate portable water and linkage roads to the residents of Abuja, as well as put in place palliative measures before implementing poticies that will jeopardize the well being of the people.
